meet Miss E

This was truly a wonderful surprise. I needed a beautiful newborn to model a few upcoming seasonal hats. What did I walk away with? About 50 wonderful shots in an hour and a half (which for a newborn session, is quick!)

Miss E was perfect. Some sleep. Some smiles. Her big sister Miss M is in love with being a big sister. Such good times ahead for these sweet sisters!

Thank you so much for letting me visit!

Three, three and under...

Now, I made it no secret that going from 2 to 3 kids rocked our boat a little. Well, okay...a lot. There were many factors that contributed to this transition - the simple fact of being outnumbered, having the girl drama from the second child now suddenly the "middle" child and the age of that middle child. I say all this and sigh. We have moved past the rocks and we are now smooth sailing
(yes, I know...until another storm!)

Then I met Kim. The mom of 3 beautiful girls - miss E who is 3, miss C who is almost 2, and miss D who is the newbie. Yes...three girls, three and under. I don't say this jokingly, but Kim had her act together! She was the calm, cool and collected mom of 3 girls. I secretly applauded her for this amazing feat and want to know her secrets!

Miss D was just as beautiful as her sisters -
congrats in such a huge way!

proud parents in portland...

Well, the timing was perfect! We went to the Northwest to celebrate my mother-in-law's retirement and this trip happened to be days after the arrival of our new cousin! So, of course, I had to get my hands on him. After arriving in Portland and giving the four legged, first born (Angus) some love, I settled in with the baby sway and cuddles - I don't even think my husband got a chance to hold him! Oh, so itty, bitty beautiful!

This is Kelly and Brian's first baby - a 'surprise' delivery (something that I could never do...I need to get my surprise at the 20 week mark!) By surprise, I mean gender unknown. Mr. S has been keeping them busy - kisses and hugs 24/7 can get a new parent all tired out.

We are so thrilled to have him join the family and I cannot wait to hold him again! Angus...hope life's settling down for you big guy!

the best of friends...

Honestly, these sisters are true friends. They smile together. They hug. They skip. They encourage one another. And they have fun! I always look forward to my time with Miss V and Miss S. Watching these girls grow up has been wonderful!

Anyway, this Sunday morning (trying to beat the heat and mosquitoes!), they were busy with many wardrobe changes this time - summer dresses, flower girl dresses, karate outfit and jazz/ballet costumes. Whew! I loved it!

Thanks for smiling and giggling with me again! Can't wait until October to do it all over again!

beach baby...

So I was thrilled to meet lil' D on "her beach" in Seattle. This was her first trip to see the water and apparently, it was one of the first nice days of the summer. I met her mom in 1995 and we spent our senior year of college as housemates. What fun times - and gosh, it doesn't seem like that long ago! Well, sometimes it does. Anyway, Miss D sure is her mommy's little girl. Sweet, sweet smile (although she took some time to show me!) and sparkling eyes. What a joy!

Hope to see you again soon and
we'll head back to the perfect drift wood spot when you can sit up!

smiles come in sweet doses...

So as a photographer, the smile of a child is golden. To capture that one perfect shot of happiness. Well, I honestly think the sweetest expressions aren't of smiles. The face of child shows a thousand emotions throughout the day - that's what I like to capture.

Miss C has earned my "toughest nut award" which has long been held by a little guy. She gave me a few smiles but man, I had to be quick! Her sister tried to cheer her up but in the end, we settled for an Eeyore kind of day - you know the kind with the little black rain cloud hanging over head.
This session was a 40th birthday present to the girls' dad - happiest of birthdays, Bob!

brothers are best...

Brothers are the best of buds. These two are certainly destined to be close - Mr. L lovely pats Mr. M and gives him lots of kisses! Mr. M is a happy little guy and wide awake for a baby. He's had a rough go of it - with heel pricks galore. Thankfully, he won't remember a thing and his smiles will replace his tears.

Mom and dad are in love with their little guys - what a fun adventure they are embarking on!

Thanks for letting me snuggle and play!

three boys and a lady...

What a fun shoot in the city!

These cousins united to capture an image for their grandparents. Mr. D hadn't even met his older cousins or aunt - having just traveled from Las Vegas for the weekend. Mr. A and Miss B are the artsy type (striking a chord or pose) while the other Mr. A was a boy with a sweet tooth. Mr. D, well he was a 'go-with-the-flow' (not to mention - the heat) kinda of baby! Between cooling off in the shade and keeping the kids happy, we were able to catch some sweet family moments.

Thanks for sweating with me! Hope your visit to Dallas was great!

One of these prints by Rosselli Photography will soon be featured at Wendy Hart Salon in Dallas! She is the mom and aunt of these children. Thanks Wendy!

fancy in the city...

Honestly, it pleases me more than you know to post these images of this beautiful family! These friends define the city of Dallas for me - Texans at heart with class and style. Miss E and Miss M loved getting all dolled up for their photo shoot in the grungy part of town (they didn't know better!)

Thanks for being patient with me!
